A change in emphasis to the assessment of skills on the new ALS provider course has created the need to update the assessment chapter in the ALS Instructor Manual.

The new assessment chapter has been augmented by updating the assessment literature and by adding material relating to continuous assessment. The chapter gives a theoretical and practice based approach to continuous assessment.
