Revisions to ALS manual (Fifth edition)
June 2008 updates
A number of changes have been made to the Advanced Life Support manual (Fifth edition). These are available to download using the links below. The changes are as follows:
Chapters 2, 6 and 12
In chapter 2, page 10, point 5 in "Disability" has been revised.
In chapter 6, page 48, "The proSeal LMA" section has been revised;
on page 50 a photo and details of the i-gel airway have been added.
In chapter 12, page 114, the section "Irregular broad complex tachycardia"
has been revised.
Chapter 13
A number of changes have been made, including the addition of
the new anaphylaxis guidance. For your convenience, the entire chapter
is included here.
Chapter 15
Several changes have been made, including revisions concerning
the new DNAR guidance. For your convenience, the entire chapter
is included here.
