The ALS Provider certificate is valid for four years.*
 
There are two ways to recertify as an ALS Provider:
       Undertake an entire ALS Provider Course
       Undertake a one day ALS Recertification Course

Please note that recertification can take place up to one year
after the date specified on the ALS Provider certificate.
Candidates outside this time period can only recertify by
undertaking the entire ALS Provider Course.

* The exception is for certificates issued before 1 April 2006 -
   these are valid for 3 years.
