Clinical Lead for ReSPECT
Catherine Baldock joined the Resuscitation Council (UK) in January 2019 as the Clinical Lead for the “Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment” (ReSPECT) process. In her role she is responsible for providing direction and management for the introduction of the ReSPECT process across the United Kingdom. Catherine leads on overseeing and monitoring of the ReSPECT process as well as helping, advising and supporting those organisations, regions and STP’s which are considering adoption of ReSPECT. She is responsible for raising awareness of the ReSPECT process and initiating adoption networks. Catherine had previously been seconded part-time to the Resuscitation Council (UK) as the project manager for ReSPECT and also worked as the Head of Resuscitation, Clinical Skills and Simulation at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Catherine led the implementation of the ReSPECT process across Coventry and Warwickshire in December 2016. Catherine has a background in nursing, education and resuscitation. She has a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Studies and a Masters in Medical Education.
