Rachel Warren joined the Resuscitation Council (UK) in November 2017 as the RC (UK) Policy Officer. In this role, Rachel is responsible for policy advice and development, advocacy and influencing and internal and external communications, particularly conveying key messages effectively to decision-makers and key stakeholders. Her work focuses on developing RC (UK) public policy which is informed by evidence and patient involvement, in relation to the RC (UK)’s strategic plan: Resus 2020. She is also involved in supporting the RC (UK)’s work on the ReSPECT Process, saving lives in the community, at work and in sport, AEDs, and building the networks and profile of the RC (UK). Rachel has a background in Philosophy and Medical Ethics and Law, and experience of medical ethics education and other roles allied to medicine. Prior to joining the RC (UK), Rachel completed her MPhil in Law at the University of Manchester Centre for Social Ethics and Policy, which focused on Bioethics and Medical Jurisprudence.
