Cardiac arrest during neurosurgery coverThis guidance covers the management of cardiac arrest during neurosurgery in adult patients. It is intended for all members of the team; surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff. The guidance is also applicable to adult patients undergoing neuroradiological procedures or spinal surgery in the prone position. 

It addresses the specific actions that will be required in a neurosurgical patient to allow safe and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and should be read in conjunction with the Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines.
