Candidate Course Certificate Verification

Candidates who successfully complete a Resuscitation Council UK course will receive a course certificate.

Some employers may ask for verification of the certificate. Here, you’ll find information on how we can help you verify your certificate.

ALS, EPALS, NLS, ARNI, FEEL and ILSi (ILS and PILS issued after 1 January 2023)

Using the information provided on the Candidate’s certificate, we are able to verify these course types. Please fully complete the highlighted fields below.

If you want to verify an Instructor certificate, please send a copy of the certificate to courses@resus.org.uk and include the Instructor’s full name and professional registration number (e.g. GMC, NMC, HCPC, GDC etc.) and confirm their email address(es).

Please note: the information provided must identically match the information printed on the certificate.

Verify Candidate qualification

To verify the certificate, please complete the information below exactly as shown on the certificate.

Resuscitation Council UK’s advanced course certificates are valid for four years from the course date. Unfortunately, we are unable to verify course certificates older than four years and that have expired.

RCUK writes the UK’s Resuscitation Guidelines and Quality Standards. Our Guidelines and Quality Standards documents are used by health and care organisations as the benchmark for best practices for providing resuscitation services and care throughout the UK. As such, all RCUK’s courses meet the national requirements for these guidelines and standards. Therefore, the Core Skills Training Framework/Skills for Health benchmark their requirements against our guidelines, standards, courses and levels of training.

ILS and PILS (issued before 1 January 2023)

We are not able to verify certificates for these courses as this information is held locally by ILS and PILS Course Centres.

To verify your ILS or PILS certificate issued pre 1 January 2023,  please contact the Course Centre stated on the certificate. Contact information for some of the Centres is in the listings section of the ILS course page and the PILS course page.

APLS, ATNC, ATLS, etc

These courses are not provided by Resuscitation Council UK, but by our partner organisations (including Advanced Life Support Group and the Royal College of Surgeons).

As a result, we cannot verify these certificates. Instead, you can get your certificate verification by directly contacting the relevant awarding body.
