Our Provider courses (e.g., ALS, ARNI, EPALS, FEEL, NLS, ILS, and PILS) and the Immediate Life Support Instructor (ILSi) course are managed through the RCUK Learning Management System (LMS). Successful candidates and instructors can download a PDF copy of their course certificate from their LMS account via their profile page.

The Generic Instructor Course (GIC) is managed through the GIC Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Successful candidates and instructors can download a PDF copy of their certificate directly from the platform. 

Candidate course certificate verification 

Candidates and employers can independently verify a candidate’s provider course certificate, provided the certificate is still valid (in date). Please note the following validity periods:

  • Advanced provider course certificates (e.g. ALS, ARNI, EPALS, NLS) are valid for 4 years from the course completion date.
  • Immediate provider course certificates (e.g. ILS and PILS) are valid for 1 year from the course completion date.

Verify Candidate qualification

To verify the certificate, please complete the information below exactly as shown on the certificate.

To verify an instructor certificate, please submit a ticket via our Support System, attaching a copy of the certificate and include the following details:

  • Instructor’s full name
  • Professional registration number (e.g., GMC, NMC, HCPC, GDC)
  • Confirmation of the instructor’s email address(es) 

These courses are not delivered by Resuscitation Council UK but by partner organisations, including the Advanced Life Support Group and the Royal College of Surgeons.

As a result, Resuscitation Council UK cannot verify these certificates. For verification, please contact the relevant awarding organisation directly.
