Carmel Oliver

Dr Carmel Oliver is a trainee anaesthetist in the South-West currently working at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. She is inaugural chair of the Early Careers Forum. Her professional interests include anaesthesia, advanced care planning and post-resuscitation care.

Adam Boulton

Adam Boulton is an anaesthetics and intensive care medicine registrar in the West Midlands. He is currently an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow and undertaking a PhD examining the prehospital critical care response to cardiac arrest. This research is examining health inequalities in resuscitation. Adam is an associate member of the ILCOR Education, Implementation, and Teams task force. He is the current vice chair of RCUK’s Early Careers Forum.

Jared is interested in further developing resuscitation science and research in the UK and its dissemination to clinical practice. He is also passionate about encouraging CPR training as part of normal education.

Rosie Gosling

Dr Rosie Gosling is an Anaesthetics Trainee in South Wales. Her clinical area of study / interest is resuscitation science and tackling inequalities in resuscitation.

Andrew Hainey

Andrew is a registered paramedic with the Scottish Ambulance Service in North Ayrshire, Scotland, and a member of the Resuscitation Council UK’s Early Careers Forum. In this role, he helps to drive new and existing campaigns to educate, raise awareness, and improve the chain of survival for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Andrew has a a particular interest in neonatology, paediatrics, human factors, and high-performing teams, and he also sits on the Neonatal Life Support (NLS) subcommittee. This work has given him the privilege of observing the process of translating cutting-edge neonatal resuscitation research into UK practice. Andrew is passionate about supporting people in their moments of greatest need, reassuring them, and delivering exceptional pre-hospital emergency care.

Connor Gilronan

Connor Gilronan has 10 years experience in event and ambulance health care. He is currently in his Newly Qualified Paramedic preceptorship, and is completing an NIHR INSIGHT Studentship at the University of Exeter. He is passionate about research aimed at improving community resuscitation outcomes, particularly projects aimed at developing the confidence of bystanders and non-registered responders in resuscitation. He is also interested in increasing delivery of BLS and first aid education in in schools and youth groups.

Emmeline Venn

Emmeline Venn is a Clinical Skills and Resuscitation Trainer at New Cross Hospital, with a background of Acute Medicine, Critical Care and a specialist nursing role in intravenous fluid management. She is a member of the Early Careers Forum and is leading on a project that seeks to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment for neurodivergent candidates on RCUK courses by bridging the gap between policy, practice and lived experience.

Fiona Wallace

Fiona is currently an ST8 Neonatal GRID Trainee in the North East region (Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle). As an instructor for NLS and ARNI, she has developed a strong interest in paediatric and newborn resuscitation, with a particular focus on effective debriefing. She serves as a trainee representative on the Newborn Subcommittee, and neonatal representative on the Early Careers Forum. She is passionate about providing resuscitation training that is accessible, inclusive, and engaging for all learners.

Florin is a Resident Doctor in Emergency Medicine in West Yorkshire. His clinical area of study/ interest is speciality training in emergency medicine. His dream is to make first aid and CPR education a reality for all children across the UK and beyond.
