Did you know that you can donate to Resuscitation Council UK directly from your salary? By signing up for Payroll giving you’ll enjoy tax relief on your donations, helping your money to go even further towards our lifesaving work.
Payroll giving is an easy and tax efficient way to make regular donations straight from your gross salary before income tax is applied, reducing your taxable income. Anyone who pays UK tax through PAYE can donate through Payroll Giving. It’s cost-effective because Resuscitation Council UK receives the full amount of your donation that would otherwise have been subject to tax – so you give more while paying less.
Why donate to RCUK?
Our mission is to save lives by increasing education and awareness in resuscitation for healthcare professionals and the general public. We’re working towards the day when everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life. By donating, you are helping us achieve that goal.
How we use your donations
We use donations to fund all our charitable activities; from Lifesaver, our free interactive CPR awareness tool, to our Research and Development grants for healthcare professionals and our community grant scheme for members of the public. We also use funds to encourage policy change and keep CPR and AED awareness on the agenda for policy makers.
How can I donate?
The first step is to check with your employer to make sure that your company offers Payroll Giving. If they do, they will arrange your donation through your salary for you.
If your employer does not currently offer Payroll Giving, you can encourage them to set one up. To set up a Payroll Giving scheme, your organisation will need to register with an approved Payroll Giving agency.
If your circumstances change and you want to change or cancel your donation at any time, simply tell your employer. If you change your job, your donations will not be transferred to your new employer, so you will need to start a new Payroll Giving scheme with them.
