Resuscitation Council UK welcomes new research findings about defibrillation strategies for refractory ventricular fibrillation. RCUK will make any necessary changes to its guidelines following the forthcoming ILCOR update.  

Oti Mabuse, the Strictly Come Dancing star, has created a new TikTok dance to increase awareness about performing CPR. The pro dancer partnered with Resuscitation Council UK to record new moves to Olly Murs’ hit classic 'Heart Skips a Beat'.

On Wednesday 19 October, Resuscitation Council UK will be raising awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the Brentford FC fixture against Chelsea FC. 

RCUK has published a position paper setting out why DfE, the Department for Health & Social Care, and relevant public health bodies, should request, where possible, at least one public-access device per school. 

Resuscitation Council UK, together with St John Ambulance, the British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, UK Ambulance Services and other charitable organisations, are committed to ensuring that everyone has the skills to save a life. They are urging people to take part in the Restart a Heart campaign, to establish confident lifesavers across the UK – currently survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest are less than one in ten. 
 

Brentford Football Club has launched a new partnership, the Heart of West London, with Resuscitation Council UK and a number of leading charities to improve heart health in the local community. Together, they will use the power of sport and our collective voice to change the game for cardiac health in west London.

Resuscitation Council UK has joined The Heart of West London Partnership; a group of organisations working together to change the game for heart health. 

RCUK is aware of a nationwide shortage of defibrillator stocks, including replacement pads and batteries.  This is the result of delays in the supply chain. We appreciate this is concerning for guardians of defibrillators within their local communities or workplaces.
