Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) invites clinicians working with infants and children to review and provide feedback on the draft Paediatric Quick Reference Handbook (PQRH), developed by the EPALS Subcommittee.
About the PQRH
The PQRH has been designed to support medical emergency and cardiac arrest teams in the recognition and management of the deteriorating child, including the management of paediatric cardiac arrest.
It is intended as a practical decision-support tool for team leaders, helping to guide clinical decision-making in high-pressure and time-critical situations.
The EPALS Subcommittee has undertaken initial testing of the PQRH. We are now seeking wider clinical feedback to ensure that the final resource is:
- accessible and intuitive to use in practice
- relevant across a range of healthcare settings
- supportive of safe and effective team-based care.
The pQRH is currently a draft document and must not be used for clinical care at this stage.
Have your say
Your expertise and experience are essential in shaping this resource. We strongly encourage all clinicians involved in the care of children to review the draft and share their views on:
- usability during emergencies
- layout and accessibility
- potential implementation in clinical settings.
