ROC-UK is looking to improve survival rates and outcomes for people who have experienced a cardiac arrest, as well as those at risk of one.
ROC-UK places these individuals at the heart of research, recognising the value and influence that they can and should have on prioritising research questions, as well as the development, delivery, and dissemination of research.
How we do this:
- Ensuring that patient and public colleagues are represented within the ROC-UK operational delivery group and funding review panels.
- Requiring evidence of patient and public involvement and engagement in all research funding applications.
- Requiring that all our funded research clearly embodies the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusivity.
By championing patient and public involvement, we help ensure that ROC-UK research is grounded in lived experience. This not only strengthens the quality and relevance of our research but also helps generate insights that can improve outcomes and make a meaningful difference to the people who matter most.
